Susan Saint-Joy showed up to the NYSPTA Conference this year not just as an author, but as a connector, a listener, and a voice for parent leadership across New York State. As an exhibitor, she brought Beyond the Bake Sale to a statewide stage where PTA presidents, educators, and community leaders stopped by to share stories, challenges, and dreams for their schools. The response was immediate. People recognized themselves in her journey and saw her book as a guide for building stronger, more inclusive parent communities.

Being featured on the NYSPTA website added another layer of visibility, placing her work in front of families and leaders who deeply understand the heart of local school engagement. The feature helped spark conversations with changemakers from Long Island to Buffalo—people who are reimagining what parent leadership looks like and who felt affirmed by Susan’s message.

This experience wasn’t just about showcasing a book. It was about forming real connections with leaders who believe in collaboration, equity, and showing up for kids. Susan’s presence at the conference reminded everyone that parent leadership is powerful, and when we share our stories, we build a stronger statewide community.
