Susan Saint-Joy, an educator and parent leader, reshapes school and community leadership through honest storytelling, transformative strategies, and authentic engagement. She strengthens school–family partnerships, amplifies unheard voices, and challenges outdated systems—advocating for equity, compassion, and meaningful connection to inspire real, lasting change.

From Educator and PTA Leader to Influential Author, Advocate, and Community Strategist
Susan Saint-Joy began her career as a special education teacher with the New York Board of Education, spending over 15 years witnessing inequities, challenges in family engagement, and the power of strong parent leadership. Her commitment deepened through roles as a PTA president, district committee member, and advocate in the Floral Park-Bellerose School District, where she championed equity, inclusion, and joyful learning.
Driven to elevate everyday leaders and reimagine school–family collaboration, she now shares her insight through writing, teaching, and community consulting. As an adjunct professor in psychology and political science and a doctoral candidate in management, she blends research with lived experience. Recognized by the New York State PTA and as a 2024 Woman of Distinction Recipient from New York State Assembly District 22, she advances her mission through her book Beyond the Bake Sale.
